Well, the good news is that, for the time being at least, the Second Amendment is safe. Unfortunately, of course, this means that it is pretty much open season on the rest of the Bill of Rights. Republicans, party of the rich and powerful, Democrats, party of the prepetually confused. Miranda rights in jeopardy, Homeland security an excuse for the new Mcarthyism, the oil standard still firmly in place and now talk of using RICO laws against political protesters. The last one means that they have finally figured out a way to take your right of free speech before the media realizes that this also means THEIR right of free speech. There are programs being pushed that entice students to "rat-for-dollars" on their fellow students. Government agencies that rely upon Drug War budgets for their income used YOUR tax dollars (illegaly) to run smear campaigns to defeat progressive programs. Who put these guys in power? I know that I didn't. I do not know whether this is some massive "behind the curtain" conspiracy or a bunch of power addicts that got lucky, or perhaps even that God is angry and wishes to punish us. I only know that I have yet to speak to any individual who agrees with these policies. It seems that, if bin Laden doesn't really exsist, they would have invented him. You know, like the war in Iraq. Might as well, they are apparently too stupid to catch bin Laden. I have seen this swing of the pendulum before. I must keep marching. I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep.
