Just a show of support thought it would show coast to coast in Canada they all try to help..

WINNIPEG -- There'll be plenty of bikers, babes and booze in downtown Winnipeg this weekend.

The Hells Angels are hosting a fundraising social tomorrow at Kairo Cabaret to help finance the mounting legal fees of five imprisoned gangsters, The Sun has learned.

"Everyone will be there," a reliable street source said yesterday. "It's called 'the wrongfully accused' fund-raising social."

The so-called "wrongfully accused" are Hells Angels member Dale Donovan, hangaround Sean Wolfe, prospect Ian Grant and associates Ralph (Junior) Moar and Harold Amos.

The five men stand charged with several violent firearms and conspiracy charges -- many of them stemming from a drive-by shooting in Osborne Village in November 2000.

Their trial, which has been delayed numerous times over the past few months, is expected to get underway as early as this fall and will likely take as long as a year to complete.

Social tickets cost $20, with proceeds earmarked for the gangsters' defence fund.

Hells Angels and gang supporters are expected to converge on the popular Main Street nightclub around supper time.

The biker shindig was news to Kairo spokeswoman Jackie Schreyer, who said two girls booked the club a while ago for a fund-raiser.

Not the first time

"We book dozens of socials each year. We had no indication, and we still don't, that this social is any different than any other social," Schreyer said. "We're in the business of serving and as long as our patrons are well-behaved, they will get service."

Schreyer told The Sun the fundraiser isn't a private function and the bar will be open to the public.

It's not the first time the Hells Angels have partied at Kairo.

The outlaw bikers hosted a Halloween bash last Oct. 31, but no incidents were reported.

Winnipeg police, who conducted surveillance outside the Halloween party, refused to comment yesterday on whether they will be watching tomorrow night's social closely.
