Kerrville-TX. - Two members of the Kerrville Bandidos Motorcycle Club were arrested early Saturday morning for allegedly shooting at another man after an argument, said Kerrville police.An owner of a neighboring business called Kerrville police around 6:08 a.m. after seeing two men fire several rounds at a man in the 1700 block of Water Street. According to police, it is unknown exactly what the argument was about.
A 37-year-old Kerrville man was arrested for deadly conduct for discharging a firearm and for failure to identify by refusing to give his information. The second resident, a 39-year-old Kerrville man, was arrested for deadly conduct discharging a firearm. The man who was shot at has not been identified by police.
Kerrville Police Department Lt. Joe Lanning said the man ran away and nobody has appeared at local hospitals with gunshot injuries.
Rumors have swirled throughout the community about what exactly happened. One story has the suspects shooting at police, but Lanning said no officers were involved in the shooting.
"We got there and detained those two (suspects) at the scene," he said. "We later acquired a search warrant for the club, and we did confiscate a .45 caliber, an illegal shotgun and two rifles inside the club."
Two women also were arrested in the Saturday morning incident for getting in the way. A 39-year-old Ingram woman was arrested for interference with public duties. A 39-year-old Kerrville woman was arrested for interference with public duties and resisting arrest.
This is not the first time shots have been fired at the club. In June 2006, some unknown suspects in a passing vehicle fired several rounds at the clubhouse while members were inside. No injuries were reported.
The Kerrville Bandidos Motorcycle Club has been in Kerrville since 2000.
